Plan B…C….Z..

Just when I thought my feet were getting a little bit better, bam! no such luck. So I figure I have 2 options in terms of being ready for my upcoming race.

1. Take it easy. Hope I’ve done enough and just go full out on race day and deal with whatever pain it causes after the fact.

2.  Push through it. Be as physically prepared as possibly and hope I can still do it by race day.

Hmm I think I’ll go with unlisted option 3 which is both and neither. I’m going to take it day by day and see what I can do. Yes, that probably means I am missing crucial training workouts. However…I don’t want to be so sore that I can’t enjoy myself at the race.  I don’t want to do nothing though because I know I’m not that prepared!!! I’m going to do mini workouts, to help prepare a little and save my feet! So I took immediate action- grabbed my bike and headed just around the neighborhood. I went back and forth up the one little hill I could find to get ready for the “short, steep” hill listed in the race description. I tried to wear my quads out a little so I could mini-brick-it. I hopped off my bike and immediately went for a short run. I obviously wasn’t worn out enough so I didn’t really feel the bike-leg syndrome, but it was good practice none the less!
