Good Ol’ Sunday Morning

It was just a good ol’ oats kinda morning.

oatmeal

Nothing fancy. Just oatmeal, wheat germ, flax, cottage cheese, cinnamon, nutmeg, unsweetened coconut, and PB. I’m low on PB, better restock! I also experimented with stirring in some chia seeds today. To be honest, I didn’t even know they were there- couldn’t taste them at all.

I’m SO glad I decided to do my long run on Friday. We’re still covered in snow, with a nice layer of ice on top. I certainly don’t have the right running shoes to attempt to navigate what we have, and honestly I don’t really want to try- I’m pretty sure with my coordination and clumsy affinity, I’d fall on my butt and break something in the first 100 yards.

So my breakfast isn’t too exciting (although completely comforting and hit the spot!). I’m still thinking about those delicious blueberry crepes from last night. I need to get some more berries ASAP!!! You need to try these.

You know sometimes the best oatmeal is the most simple 🙂 I think yours sounds great!! And the PB totally makes it.

And that is good that you had your long run Friday, We have a similar situation this morning. It looks so beautiful and it looks like fluffy snow but then you walk on it and it’s basically a sheet of ice. Not that I know from personal experience. I, like you, have zero coordination sooo I’ll stay inside where I can’t hurt myself 🙂

Your b-fast looks good. Maybe I should try and add cottage cheese……

I am dreading my long run because it’s still in the 30s here. The weather forecast said it was supposed to get up to 47 today. Guess they were wrong. D’oh.

Cottage cheese sounds really delicious in oatmeal. I wish I could try that!
The crepes looked great- I’ve never attempted them before but not I really want to!!
