What better way to celebrate being snowed in than with pizza and beer?!! I know, I know, you’re saying, “Heather, this is supposed to be a healthy living blog, what are you doing?!”
Well part of living a healthy life in my book is enjoying pizza and beer 🙂 It makes me miss the college days when we were all stuck in the dorm anyways so we’d grab whatever we could and go sledding, then all pile in one tiny room and order pizza and drink beer. Sigh.
Except these days instead of cases of Bud Light I’m enjoying a sophisticated (ha) Rising Moon—Blue Moon’s spring brew. I guess they were hoping the groundhog might not see his shadow?!
With a nice orange slice, of course.
Before I had my own little beer and pizza party I celebrated Nutella Day with a multi-grain English muffin, almond butter, and NUTELLA!! I just happened to have a little sample pack lying in the pantry….I hope processed chocolate spread doesn’t have an expiration date. 😉
Speaking of English muffins—they are a prime example of why you should read Nutrition Facts labels and not just believe the “blurbs” on the front. The “High Fiber” version has considerably less than the “Multigrain” version! (And they’re both made with enriched whole grain flour.)
Off to go watch Twister on tv—such a good movie!!
